Family policy

Family travel insurance cover is aimed at families travelling together, with the party usually consisting of one or two adults and up to four of their dependant children (under the age of 18, in full time education and residing with them).

Adults on family Annual Multi-trip policies can usually travel independently. The policy may be able to provide cover for children travelling independently depending on the circumstances (in each case this will need to be requested to the insurer in writing).

If you travel with your family once or twice per year, a single trip family holiday insurance policy could be the most cost effective option when it comes to arranging comprehensive protection for all of the family, at an affordable price.

Purchasing an individual policy for each member of the family can be prohibitive in terms of cost, and the time and effort you'll spend sourcing the cover, so it's much easier to get one policy that will cover the whole family.
