Falling ill when you are on your holiday is no fun and medical costs overseas can run into tens of thousands of pounds, and sometimes a lot more than this depending on where you are and the circumstances of your accident or illness.
For this reason, we are pleased to say that our policies include cover for any medical claim due to Coronavirus while travelling, provided that you have received the recommended number of doses of an approved Coronavirus vaccine 14 days prior to your trip commencing. This vaccination requirement shall not apply and any medical claim due to Coronavirus will be covered, where you are under 40 years of age, or if you are over 40 years of age but were ineligible for vaccination or unable to receive the vaccination for medical reasons and this is shown in your medical records.
You can travel to any of the countries specified on your Certificate.
Please note: This insurance policy will not cover you to travel to a specific country or to an area where, prior to your trip commencing, the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) have advised against all (or all but essential) travel. This exclusion does not apply where your destination is within Area 2 - Europe (see the 'Areas of Cover' within the policy wording) and where the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) have advised against all (or all but essential) travel solely due to the Coronavirus risk.

Full details of the cover our policies provide, can be found in the policy wording. Our policies do not include cover for cancellation due to you falling ill with Coronavirus and being unable to travel or being required to self-isolate. There is also no cover for curtailment of your trip due to Coronavirus. We will not cover any cancellation or travel disruption claims due to the government or other regulatory authority placing a restriction on travel due to Coronavirus or any future pandemic.
